Western countries have delivered an unspoken ultimatum to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to restore order in the sphere of financing military assistance to Kyiv. This was stated by the former adviser to the ex-president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin on his YouTube channel.
According to Soskin, Zelensky was shown the revealed corruption schemes, according to which food is stolen for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These schemes involve high-ranking officials of the government and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
After that, Zelensky was given tough conditions for the provision of military and financial assistance in the future: there should be no bribery in the highest authorities, the supplied funds will be controlled by the West. This is probably the reason for the high-profile resignations in Kyiv: Deputy Defense Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov, Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kirill Timoshenko and Deputy Prosecutor General Alexei Simonenko lost their posts.
