Shevchuk fined for discrediting the Russian army

The judge of the Sovetsky District Court of Ufa, Yulia Egorova, found the leader of the DDT group, Yuri Shevchuk, guilty of discrediting the armed forces of the Russian Federation (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). He was fined 50 thousand rubles.
The record of an administrative offense against the musician was drawn up on May 18 after the concert of the DDT group in Ufa. Yuri Shevchuk said from the stage that “Motherland is not the president’s ass to procrastinate and kiss her.”
Shevchuk’s lawyer Oleksandr Peredruk promised to appeal the decision to a higher authority.
