Russia and Ukraine are approaching an agreement on the creation of a security zone around the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. This was announced by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi, referred to by bloomberg.com.
In the words of the IAEA director general, the parties are coming “closer to something that can be acceptable.”
Earlier, Grossi said that the IAEA was in talks to organize its meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He also said that the agency plans to send a mission to the Rovno nuclear power plant, and recently conducted an inspection at the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant.
