Seven states to sue Biden

Seven US states have filed a class action lawsuit against President Joe Biden, according to US media, citing court documents.
The lawsuit is reportedly filed by the states of Iowa, Kansas, Arizona, Missouri, Nebraska, South Carolina and Arkansas. The lawsuit accuses Biden of abuse of power over his decision to write off student debts.
The text of the lawsuit states that no piece of legislation allows President Biden, on his own initiative, to release millions of people from their obligation to pay the debts they have voluntarily assumed.
In August, the President of the United States announced a federal plan to ease student debt. This means writing off up to $10,000 to those who earn less than $125,000 a year.
