Elon Musk announced an implant that could restore sight to the blind
Billionaire Elon Musk announced the company’s Neuralink brain implant – a device that will allow blind people to see.
“Blindsight is the next Neuralink product,” Musk wrote on the social network X. The new product is designed to help, “even if someone has never seen and was born blind.”
The implant, he said, is already being tested on monkeys. Musk emphasized that no animals were harmed during the experiments.
