NASA released a video of the collision of the American probe with a large asteroid

How informs MASH, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration released a video of a “controlled” collision of an American probe with an asteroid.

The recording shows the moment of the collision of the American DART probe with the large asteroid Dimorph. NASA said that this collision was carried out in order to change the trajectory of the asteroid and test the system for protecting the earth from dangerous space objects.

Note that the abbreviation of the DART probe stands for Double Asteroid Redirection Test (“Experiment to change the orbit of a double asteroid”).
