The Ministry of Justice declared Radio Liberty* an undesirable organization – Kommersant

The Ministry of Justice added Radio Liberty (recognized as a foreign agent) to the list of undesirable organizations in Russia. The Prosecutor General’s Office made the corresponding decision on February 2.
The radio ceased operations in Russia in 2022 after Roskomnadzor blocked the station due to “false information about the military operation in Ukraine.” The organization motivated its decision by the bankruptcy case of a legal entity, as well as “pressure on journalists.”
In March 2023, the Moscow Arbitration Court declared Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty LLC bankrupt (included in the register of foreign agents). In April 2023, Roskomnadzor reported that it had blocked about 3 thousand “mirrors” of radio projects.
