American and Chinese scientists have found that exercise is healthier for women
Regular exercise reduces the risk of death from cardiovascular disease and other causes more strongly in women than in men. This was stated by scientists from the USA and China.
After comparing data on 400 thousand Americans, scientists concluded that, given the same level of physical activity, exercise was more beneficial for women than for men.
On average, the benefits of 300 minutes of exercise per week for men and 140 minutes of exercise per week for women were equal.
The scientists reported their findings in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
