The head of the department of banking regulation and analytics of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Alexander Danilov, said that in the calculations of banks indicating the unprofitability of preferential mortgages, “there is an element of deceit.”
Danilov told reporters that this statement was his value judgment. He said that the profitability of banks has decreased, but their activities have not become unprofitable.
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation is in dialogue with banks, the head of the department said.
