The Moscow Department of Transport reported Telegramthat unlocking the Troika card will become paid. “Troika” is blocked if it is not applied to the validator at the exit from the Moscow Central Diameter station. The fee for unblocking the card is not specified.
The Department of Transport reminded that Troika can be unblocked at the railway ticket offices. Unlike the metro on the MCD, Troika must be applied to the turnstiles or validators both at the entrance and exit from the station. The MCD began blocking cards for those who do not “close” their trip from June 3, 2023.
In Moscow, from October 15, tariffs for public transport users have changed. A one-time trip using the Troika card has increased in price from 50 rubles. up to 54 rubles, and when logging in using biometrics – from 46 rubles. up to 50 rub. The price for a number of subscriptions for several trips has also increased. The city authorities explain the decision to index tariffs for the second time during the year by inflation, noting, however, that the increase in the cost of travel on public transport since 2011 lags behind inflation by 40%, as well as the unprecedented expansion of the transport network, the development and maintenance of which is associated with costs.
