What sources of information about SVO do Russians trust?

Russians consider Telegram, Yandex and VKontakte the most reliable sources of information about a special military operation, it showed study regional public organization “Center for Internet Technologies” (ROCIT). Least of all are Instagram, Facebook (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), and Twitter (recently renamed X). At the same time, almost every fourth person does not trust any source.
ROCIT experts also interviewed respondents about sanctions against YouTube for violating Russian legislation. According to them, the unfriendly actions of the video hosting site do not go unnoticed by Russians. However, only 10% of respondents were in favor of completely closing access to YouTube in Russia. Most propose to influence it with more lenient measures (fines, ban on advertising) or not to react at all.
