A Russian woman bought a separate apartment for 12 Maine Coons, but in the end she became a defendant in a lawsuit, according to the Telegram channel Newsach/Dvach.
After the cats settled in, the neighbors began to complain about the strong smell in the entrance. During the inspection of the apartment, specialists recorded an excess of ammonia in the air, and the people present began to have a strong cough and watery eyes.
At the same time, the hostess herself did not live with cats, but claimed that she cared for the animals, regularly cleaned and disinfected the premises.
As a result, the neighbors won the case, and the court allowed only three cats to be left in the apartment.
