In Ukraine, the corporate rights and property of enterprises owned by the ex-deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation have been arrested, the office of the country’s Prosecutor General reports in its Telegram channel. The amount of seized property is 1 billion hryvnia ($27.09 million).
“At the request of the prosecutors of the office of the Prosecutor General, corporate rights and 25 real estate objects of enterprises, which are one of the largest producers of paper and cardboard in Ukraine, have been seized. The total amount of seized property is more than 1 billion hryvnia,” the message says.
According to the investigation, the officials of these companies, the beneficial owner of which is a Russian citizen, a former State Duma deputy, carrying out their activities in 2019-2021. on the territory of Ukraine, evaded taxes in the amount of more than 132 million hryvnias ($3.58 million) and legalized property on an especially large scale (Article 212, Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the publication “Strana.ua”, we are talking about Vladimir Krupchak. He was a State Duma deputy in 2004-2007, chairman of the subcommittee on forest resources, the committee on natural resources and nature management.
