China expresses support for Russia’s efforts to stabilize the situation after the rebellion

The Russian Foreign Ministry reported on its website about the meeting of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Qin Gang and consultations with Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu.
Issues of cooperation and implementation of agreements between the heads of governments of the two countries were discussed. During the meeting, the trusting nature of bilateral ties was emphasized.
In addition, the statement notes, the Chinese side expressed support for the efforts of the Russian leadership to stabilize the situation in the country in connection with the events of June 24.
Chinese diplomats confirmed Beijing’s interest in “strengthening the cohesion and further prosperity of Russia.”
