On May 25, a meeting of the leaders of the women’s clubs of the Superleague and the Major League was held in the Moscow “House of Basketball”. Leaders of professional women’s clubs from all over Russia gathered in Moscow to decide on the upcoming 2023-2024 season. The team leaders were hosted by Andrei Kirilenko, President of the RSE.
During the meeting, questions were resolved about the format and how competitions among women’s professional basketball clubs in the Higher and Super Leagues will be held in the 2023-2024 season. In the new season, the Superleague will expand to 13 or 14 teams, and each team will also be required to field a farm club.
Andrey Kirilenko and representatives of the Ivanovo “Energia” – Irina Denisova and Evgeny Snigirev, met in person and had a talk. In the upcoming season, Andrei Kirilenko plans to come to Ivanovo and visit the Palace of Team Sports
