Kurgan region declared emergency mode due to forest fires
On the territory of the Kurgan region from Friday, April 28, a state of emergency is introduced in the forests due to the threat of wildfires. The corresponding resolution was signed by the head of the region Vadim Shumkov.
Over the past day, 25 fires were registered in the Kurgan region, 14 of them were eliminated, the rest were localized.
In view of the fire hazard, any open fire activities, including burning garbage and dry grass, are prohibited. Barbecue for the May holidays will also have to be abandoned, the authorities of the Kurgan region warned.
In the event of forest fires, citizens who provide information about the perpetrators of fires are promised to pay a reward of 10,000 rubles.
As of April 25, the fire season was open in 74 Russian regions, a special fire regime in 38 subjects of the country. This regime implies a ban on visiting forests, making fires, using barbecues and other devices for thermal processing of products.
Police and aviation are involved in the prevention of forest fires in the regions, and citizens are urged to be vigilant and immediately report a fire threat.
