Russia and China will soon approve the “Plan-2030”, which will include the main areas of work with Beijing. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin during a speech in the State Duma with a report on the work of the government in 2022.

He recalled that following Russian-Chinese talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping adopted a joint statement on developing practical cooperation between Russia and China in the medium term.

“On its basis, my colleague, Prime Minister of the State Council of China, Mr. Li Qiang, and I will soon approve the 2030 Plan. Which will include all the main areas of joint work with our Chinese partners,” Mishustin said.

The prime minister noted that “strengthening cooperation with allies and searching for promising partners” is one of the government’s priorities.

March 22, summing up the meeting with Xi Jinping, Mishustin notedthat the plan will be prepared by five Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commissions under the leadership of the relevant vice-premiers – Andrei Belousov, Alexander Novak, Tatyana Golikova and Yuri Trutnev. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko will celebrate the overall coordination.

Mishustin specified that he would discuss the progress of joint work with Li Qiang in the fall of 2023.
