Poland intends to boycott the 2024 Olympic Games if Russian and Belarusian athletes are allowed to participate. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country Pavel Yablonsky.
“If athletes from Russia and Belarus were admitted to the 2024 Games, then we should just boycott these games,” he said on the radio station RFM, adding that he would urge everyone to make such a decision.
Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that they were considering the option of admitting Russian and Belarusian athletes to the Games on an individual basis.
After that, the head of the NOC of Ukraine, Vadim Gutzeit, said that the Ukrainian team would boycott the Olympics in Paris if the national teams of Russia and Belarus participate.
Latvia also promised to boycott the 2024 Games if Russians and Belarusians were admitted.
