85% of Russian companies are faced with a staff shortage - Kommersant

In Russia, the labor shortage has increased significantly over the past year. SuperJob calculated that the number of vacancies during this period increased by 57%, and the number of employee resumes, on the contrary, decreased by 2%. The most scarce professions on the Russian labor market are skilled workers, truck drivers, special transport drivers, general workers and engineers.

From the SuperJob study, which contains materials RBC, it follows that over the year the competition for vacancies decreased by 34%. 85% of company representatives reported staff shortages. Only 11% of survey participants reported no labor shortage.

The largest number of vacancies occurs in industrial enterprises; over the year their number increased by 122%. In the construction sector over the year, the number of vacancies increased by 31%, in the transport and logistics sector by 35%. For the hotel business and catering business, this figure increased by 36%, for retail trade – by 24%. Delivery services increased the number of vacancies by 107%.

According to the consulting company Yakov and Partners, a shortage of 2–4 million employees will remain in Russia at least until 2030. Experts noted that since 2018, the number of vacancies published by Russian employers has increased 1.8 times. August was a record year for the number of vacancies, when employers posted 1.2 million job advertisements.
