8 new ski bases with all equipment will be built in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug

On the evening of February 20, the Governor of Yamal, Dmitry Artyukhov, spoke in his social networks about the construction of ski bases in the region. He promised that eight more such points would be built in the YNAO.
According to Artyukhov, ten ski bases have opened in the YaNAO over the past three years, three of them in the Shuryshkarsky district. Athletes can practice in comfort – there are illuminated tracks everywhere, there is equipment.
“We recently opened a ski base in Ovgort. There are currently 45 students here. They are trained by a real enthusiast of his craft – Valery Ivanovich Valgamov. They say about such people: “I learned to ride before I could walk.” He was born and raised in Ovgort. He has nine 50 km marathons, personal victories in competitions and almost 40 years of coaching experience behind him,” said the head of Yamal.
He noted that these are the people who motivate young northerners to engage in physical education and sports, and therefore it is important to create decent conditions for their work in Yamal.
“We will build eight more ski bases with all the necessary equipment. And there will always be enough snow for training in Yamal, ”added Dmitry Artyukhov.
Recall that in the village of Muzhi a new ski base opened at the end of December 2022.
