76 Oryol families took part in the city sports festival

Last weekend, at the TMK Grinn sports center in Oryol, a grandiose city sports festival called “The whole family – off to the start!” was held. The event brought together 76 families from 76 educational institutions of the city, uniting parents and children – pupils of kindergartens and schools.
Oksana Tretyakova, chief specialist of the department of physical culture and sports of the Orel administration, emphasized that this event fits into the framework of the Year of the Family and consists of three stages. For the first time, even preschoolers participated in the sports festival, which makes it especially significant. The first stage took place from March 13 to 25 on the basis of educational institutions, the second stage – the regional one – took place over the weekend on the territory of municipal budgetary educational institutions. The final stage of the holiday is scheduled for April 13 at the OSU sports complex. I.S. Turgenev, where the winning teams and medalists of the second stage will meet.
Participants will enjoy exciting sports competitions and relay races. The winners will not be left without well-deserved recognition – cups and certificates will be awarded to them by the Department of Education, Sports and Physical Education of the Orel administration.
