6 “Northern Character” sports centers will open in Yamal in 2024

In the coming year, new martial arts centers of the Yamal network “Northern Character” will open in six settlements: Gubkinsky, Noyabrsk, Novy Urengoy, Tarko-Sale, Muzhi and Yar-Sale. This was reported on January 5 by the press service of the governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

In Yar-Sale, the opening of the hall is planned for the first quarter of 2024. Now they are purchasing equipment for gyms and fitness rooms. The center will be available for adults and children. Young sports lovers will be able to engage in sambo, judo, wrestling, and hand-to-hand combat sections. After the opening of the “Northern Character”, district and regional competitions will be able to be organized in the village.

In Gubkinsky, the center will be located in a three-story building, the launch is scheduled for February. It will open a gym, two martial arts halls, and equip locker rooms and a sauna.

In the gas capital, the final overhaul of the facade of the future “Northern Character” is at the finish line, for which the “Molodezhny” sports complex will be converted. Two gyms for mixed martial arts and boxing are ready. Experts will finish the interior work in January, landscaping the surrounding area and equipping the gym in July.

In Tarko-Sale, the construction of the center will be completed in the fourth quarter of this year. The building, with an area of ​​more than eight thousand square meters, will house halls for boxing and wrestling, judo, Kyokushinkai and karate, mini-football, basketball, volleyball, powerlifting, and stands.

In Muzhi, a “Northern Character” will be built for the development of hand-to-hand combat and boxing next to the “Olympus” sports and recreation complex, thus a sports microdistrict will appear in the village.

The Noyabrsk sports center will have universal martial arts, crossfit and workout halls, and a training area. Here you can practice Thai boxing, Kyokushin, martial arts, sambo and wrestling. The municipality will also install a new crossfit zone and an indoor workout zone, which will allow you to exercise at any time of the year.

Currently, there are six martial arts centers operating in Yamal: in Salekhard, Labytnangi, Aksarka, Kharp, Novy Urengoy and Krasnoselkup. By 2025, sports complexes will open in all municipalities, there will be 17 of them.
