More than 50 kg of cocaine was found on the MSC Guernse, which arrived in St. Petersburg from Antwerp
On a sea vessel that was sailing from Antwerp, Belgium to St. Petersburg under the flag of Madeira, briquettes with tens of kilograms of cocaine were found. REN TV reports this.
The customs service and the Baltic police found briquettes in brown polymer packaging containing an unknown substance on the ship MSC Guernse.
The examination showed that they contained cocaine with a total weight of 50 kg.
A criminal case has been opened regarding drug smuggling following the incident.
Prior to this, on December 21, the FSB seized 673 kilograms of cocaine worth 2.5 billion rubles in Moscow.
