Lugers from the Moscow region won 5 awards at the all-Russian competition “Cup of Cups – 2022”, the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reports.
The champion of the Youth Olympic Games, the leader of the World Cup stages Pavel Repilov had no equal in starts on a single sledge. Becoming third in the first race, Pavel was able to become the best in the next 2 attempts and win a gold medal.
In the same race, another athlete from the Moscow Region took bronze – World Cup champion Evgeny Lobeev.
Among women in the single-seat sledge competition, the athlete of the Russian Olympic team, winner of the world and European championships Victoria Demchenko became the vice-champion of the tournament. It is noted that in the 2nd race Victoria was the best.
She also won another silver medal in the double sleigh discipline with Daria Perestoronina. The third place of the same race went to another pair of lugers from the Moscow region – Yaroslava Ostapenko and Varvara Shumik.
