5.6 magnitude earthquake strikes eastern Turkey

The Turkish Ministry of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD) reported that a strong earthquake occurred in the east of the country in the province of Malatya.
The force of the tremors, according to the ministry, was 5.6 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in Yesilyurt County, Malatya Province.
There are currently no reports of casualties or damage from today’s aftershocks.
