40 young Vologda residents took part in the chess tournament “Knight’s move”

The traditional chess competition “Knight’s move” was held in Vologda. They were attended by 40 Vologda residents from six to 16 years old. The guys played rapid chess with a time control of ten minutes.
Both beginners and experienced players showed their strength in the tournament. However, as experts note, it is still difficult for the first athletes to reach prizes.
According to the results of the competition, Yakov Zorin became the best chess player in the overall standings, and among the girls – Kristina Akimova. Young people have been engaged in this kind of mind sport for more than three years.
