40 hectares of forest are on fire in Bashkiria – Kommersant

In the Beloretsky district of Bashkiria, near the village of Uzyan, a forest is burning on an area of more than 40 hectares, the press service of the republican Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. There was a threat of the fire spreading to the settlement, but today it has been removed, the department specified.
“The area is difficult to access. Plowing is carried out along the perimeter of the fire. The village is about eight kilometers away. The stronghold of the 28th Fire and Rescue Squad of the Main Directorate has been put on alert. An interdepartmental meeting was held on the spot,” the statement said.
To protect residential buildings from fire, an airmobile brigade of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, consisting of 33 people and five pieces of equipment, left. In total, 45 people and 13 pieces of equipment are involved in the firefighting, including bulldozers and a helicopter that dropped more than 105 tons of water in two days, and volunteers are also involved.
