From the House of Specialists at 61 Lesnoy Prospekt in St. Petersburg, 34 signs of the Last Address Foundation have disappeared, Kommersant correspondent reports. They were dedicated to the repressed residents of the house.
Initially, it was planned to install 37 tablets in the house, follows from publications on the foundation’s website. They were installed in several stages. The first installed plaque is dedicated to the engineer and director of Sevkabel, Efim Kovarsky, who was shot in 1937. A number of others were employees of the Krasnaya Zarya telephone plant, who were accused of “participating in a counter-revolutionary Trotskyist organization that carried out subversive activities at the plant.” Among them are the head of the mechanization bureau of the plant, Friedrich Schneider, the head of the technical department, Vladimir Dmitriev, and the head of production, Ivan Sivachenko. All of them were shot.

They disappeared from several Moscow addresses, including from Bolshaya Polyanka, Novokuznetskaya and Tverskaya streets, Lavrushinsky lane. Moscow City Duma deputy Vladimir Ryzhkov called it a planned action by unknown extremist Stalinist organizations. He also filed a complaint with the police. Activists of the organization announced plans to revise all the plates. Then they called it an attack on the project as a whole.
