The head of state noted that “we should take care of our scientific heritage and turn to it when forming future plans.”
According to the president, our scientists need to be self-sufficient in all scientific fields.
“For some time there was an opinion that we don’t need our own science, they say, the world is open, we will buy everything,” said Vladimir Putin. “We won’t buy it, we need to create our own.”
He also informed the scientists about the increase in their monthly stipends: “The stipends of members of the Academy of Sciences have been doubled from this year. An academician will receive 200 thousand, a corresponding member 100 thousand rubles.”
