30 people involved in organizing illegal migration were brought to the St. Petersburg police

Employees of the central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region established that a commercial organization, with the help of a dozen hired employees from universities in the city, tested foreign citizens for knowledge of the history of Russia, the Russian language and the fundamentals of Russian legislation. About this today, March 27, reported official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.

Each foreigner paid 15 thousand rubles for fictitious tests, and the examiners, in turn, gave migrants certificates of passing the tests. Subsequently, these documents were used by foreigners to register for migration purposes for the purpose of subsequent residence and work in the Russian Federation. Every month the criminal scheme brought the criminals about 7.5 million rubles.

According to “Fontanka”, the participants are considered to be the commercial enterprise “Axioma” on Moiseenko Street, building 43, teachers from St. Petersburg State University and the Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University. During the searches, the police seized about $10 thousand and €15 thousand from the Axiom office. In total, the searches took place at 25 addresses at the place of residence of a dozen university employees and company employees.

At the moment, 30 residents of St. Petersburg have been taken to the police. A criminal case has been initiated into organizing illegal migration (Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code).
