Frosty and abnormally cold weather is expected in Moscow and the Moscow region on January 1-7. The temperature will be 7-15 degrees below the climate norm, January 3 and 4 will be especially cold.
Tomorrow, January 2, at night in the Russian capital it is expected to drop to minus 20 degrees, in the region – minus 23 degrees. During the day in Moscow – minus 16 – minus 18 degrees, in the region – up to minus 20.
On January 3, the temperature at night in Moscow dropped to minus 25 degrees, in the region to minus 28 degrees. During the day in the capital it will be minus 20 – minus 22 degrees, in the region up to minus 25 degrees. North wind 4-9 meters per second. Cloudy weather with clearings, mostly no precipitation.
On January 4, frosts in Moscow and the Moscow region will intensify even more. Temperatures at night are expected to reach minus 28 degrees, in the region up to minus 30. During the day in Moscow, minus 21 – minus 23 degrees, in the region up to minus 26 (18-20 degrees below the climate norm).
On January 5-7, according to preliminary forecasts, frosty weather will remain, with snow on some days. The temperature will gradually begin to rise.
