The Moldovan authorities have confirmed the arrest in Bulgaria of 3 of their citizens suspected of complicity in the terrorist attack in Istanbul, Sputnik reports.
According to the message, Moldovan diplomats “will closely follow the development of events related to this case.”
Recall that on Sunday, November 13, an explosion occurred on Istiklal pedestrian street in Istanbul, as a result of which 6 people died and 81 were injured, there are no Russian citizens among them. A little later, the suspect was detained, who after a while confessed to having links with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) banned in Turkey. As the head of the Turkish Interior Ministry Suleiman Soylu said, the indication of the terrorist act in Istanbul came from the Syrian Manbij.
In total, the Turkish authorities reported the detention of 46 people on suspicion of involvement in the preparation and organization of the terrorist attack.
Earlier it was reported that 18 suicide bombings were prevented in Turkey this year.
