More than 3 million voters submitted applications to participate in remote electronic voting (DEG) in the presidential elections through government services, reported Ministry of Digital Development. Online voting is available for 28 regions. Voters from Moscow can cast a vote on the regional portal without first submitting an application.
The majority of applications were submitted by residents of the Moscow, Rostov regions and Altai Territory. The top ten also includes Chuvashia, Sverdlovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Voronezh regions and the Perm Territory. The decision on online voting can be made until 23:59 on March 11, Moscow time. Voting will be available from 8:00 March 15 to 20:00 March 17 local time.
In addition, those who use the Mobile Voter service can also vote via the Internet. This allows you to vote at your place of residence or remotely via the Internet, if remote electronic voting is provided in the voter’s region.
