The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that 170 fighters from the Wagner PMC joined Akhmat. About the transfer of “Wagnerites” to serve in “Akhmat” told the day before, the commander of the unit based in Chechnya, Apty Alaudinov. He did not name the number of Wagner fighters who transferred to Akhmat.
“Former fighters of the PMC “Wagner” are moving to serve in the elite special forces “Akhmat”. In the next group that has expressed a desire to continue serving in the ranks of our unit, there are more than 170 soldiers who have extensive experience in combat operations both in the territory of Donbass and Ukraine, and in other hot spots,” wrote Ramzan Kadyrov in Telegram.
According to the head of Chechnya, Wagner fighters transferred to Akhmat before, but now we are talking about “massive replenishment of personnel.”
Apty Alaudinov said that among those who came to Akhmat there were Wagner commanders. According to him, “Wagnerites” choose “Akhmat” because of the similar structure of relations between commanders and employees in the unit, as well as because of the high level of provision of the unit with everything necessary for combat operations.
After the rebellion of the founder of the Wagner PMC on June 23–24, President Vladimir Putin invited members of the private military company to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense or “go to Belarus.”
