Today, a multifunctional sports ground built under the Gazprom for Children program was opened in the Mendeleevsky village of Tula. There is a mini-football field here, which in winter will be used as a hockey rink, volleyball and basketball courts.

According to Dmitry Yakovlev, Minister of Sports of the Tula Region, this fact can make a significant contribution to the development of mass sports. He said that thanks to the support of Alexei Dyumin, sports infrastructure is actively developing in the region. It is important that residents can play sports close to home. This will make it possible to make a healthy lifestyle more popular, as well as to find and train talented players for street hockey teams.

According to Nikolai Vorobyov, Chairman of the Tula Regional Duma, the site in Mendeleevsky is one of 15 that are being built this year at the expense of PJSC Gazprom. By the end of the year they will appear in Belev, Bogoroditsk, Volovo, Venev, Dubna, Efremov, Suvorov, Kamenki, Kireevsk, Kimovsk and Yasnogorsk.

Aleksey Kravchenko, Deputy General Director for Social Programs of the Gazprom Social Initiatives Support Fund, also handed over sports equipment to students of the Arsenal sports school, the Football Academy and students of Education Center No. 14.

The first football game has already taken place on the new site.
