In 2023, 14 new metro stations will open in Moscow, nine of them on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line (BKL), informed Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his blog.

Tekstilshchiki, Pechatniki, Nagatinsky Zaton, Klenovy Boulevard, Kashirskaya, Varshavskaya, Maryina Roshcha, Rizhskaya and Sokolniki stations will open on the BKL.

“Due to the emergence of numerous alternative routes, all passengers of the Moscow Metro will feel the positive effect of the commissioning of the BCL. On many routes, time savings will be up to 35-45 minutes a day,” Sobyanin said, noting that the load on the Circle Line will decrease by 25%.

In addition, Pykhtino stations, which will become the second semi-underground station in Moscow, and Vnukovo stations will appear on the Solntsevskaya line, and Fiztekh, Lianozovo and Yakhromskaya will appear on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line.

“In addition, in the new year we will continue to implement other promising projects. First of all, the construction of two new radii – Troitskaya and Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya metro lines, which will be phased into operation starting in 2024,” Sobyanin added.

According to the mayor, the BKL project will pay off in 2023 through investments: for every ruble invested in construction, the city will receive 6.7 rubles. additional investment and 4.4 rubles. additional budget revenues, he noted.

Construction of the last section of the BCL ended in Moscow at the end of December. Earlier, Sobyanin called the completion of the BKL construction the main event of the next year. According to him, the BKL will become an “infrastructural framework” for three new subway radii: Troitskaya, Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya and Biryulyovskaya lines, on each of which the new mode of transport will make the road more comfortable for 700,000 to 1 million Muscovites.
