129 young chess players from all over the country competed for awards in Essentuki

The stage of the Russian Children’s Chess Cup “Essentuki Summer 2023” ended in Essentuki the day before, the press service of the city administration reported.
129 athletes from 13 regions of Russia took part in the competitions on chess boards. The youngest chess players of the Russian Cup are only six years old, they are Darina Malysheva from the Rostov region, Stavropol players Alexander Andreev and Emin Fatullaev, Magomed Hiryaev from Dagestan.
The best game was shown by eight sportsmen. Among the “gold” winners are Stavropol resident Yesenia Salenko, representatives of Moscow, Dagestan and the KChR. In total, 24 chess players became winners at the Children’s Cup of Russia in the resort town.
