11 people hospitalized after shelling in Belgorod region

As a result of the shelling of the Belgorod region, 11 residents of the region needed hospitalization. About this “RIA Novosti” informed Roman Protsenko, head physician of city hospital No. 2 of Belgorod.
According to him, from midnight to 14:30, 11 people (10 from Shebekino) were admitted to the hospital, four are in serious condition in the intensive care unit. One is undergoing surgery. All the victims had mine-explosive injuries of varying severity.
According to Protsenko, the transfer of victims to the federal center is not required.
On June 1, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced massive shelling of the territory of the region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The city of Shebekino is under incessant fire, he noted: at midnight, at 3:40 and at 5:15 in the morning, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired from the “Grad” on the center and outskirts of the city.
In the Ministry of Defense told that the Russian Armed Forces prevented an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to commit a terrorist attack near the town of Shebekino. The department clarified that as a result of intensive shelling of civilian objects from Ukraine around 03:00 Moscow time, “Ukrainian terrorist formations with forces of up to two motorized infantry companies, reinforced with tanks, attempted to invade the territory of the Russian Federation in the area of the settlement of Novaya Tavolzhanka and the international automobile checkpoint passes “Shebekino”.
On May 31, Governor Gladkov announced the evacuation of children from the Shebekinsky and Grayvoronsky districts. The first 300 children went to Voronezh. According to the Belgorod governor, today another 200 people will be transported to Penza, and on Saturday, June 3, 600 people will be sent to Kaluga and Yaroslavl. Readiness to accommodate residents of the region also declared authorities of the Lipetsk region and Crimea.
