10 thousand people in the Kursk region remain without electricity due to bad weather

As a result of freezing rain and bad weather yesterday, November 19, about 20 thousand people in 11 districts were left without electricity in the Kursk region. By this morning, almost 10 thousand people in 9 districts of the region are without electricity. This was announced by the head of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit.
“Unfortunately, the scale of damage is large, in some areas the restoration of power supply may take a long time. According to preliminary estimates, the accidents will be completely eliminated by 18:00,” Starovoit wrote in his Telegram channel.
Roman Starovoit added that almost 600 people are working to eliminate the consequences of bad weather. He also asked the residents of the Kursk region not to use private cars unnecessarily and to remove them from the roads.
On November 18 and 19, there was a heavy snowfall in the Kursk region. Bad weather raged in the central and southern parts of Russia.
