There are currently 300 people in temporary accommodation centers in the Belgorod region, the head of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said in his Telegram-channel. 1.3 thousand children from Belgorod will be sent to four other regions.
“Over the past 24 hours, we have received 1.3 thousand applications to send children from Belgorod to country school camps in other regions. I called my fellow governors from the Voronezh, Kaluga, Tambov, and Yaroslavl regions. They are all ready to help us. Now we have already sent our specialists to look at the placement of children. We are forming groups and will send them out,” wrote the governor of the Belgorod region.
According to Vyacheslav Gladkov, about 300 Belgorod residents live in temporary accommodation centers in Stary Oskol, Gubkin and Korochansky district. Let us note that the day before yesterday it was reported that 100 Belgorod residents were evacuated.
The governor emphasized that restoration work continues in Belgorod after the December and January shelling from Ukraine.
On December 30, Belgorod came under massive shelling, as a result of which 25 people were killed, including 5 children, and another 109 residents were injured. The shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces region continued in January. According to the latest data, 68 victims remain in hospitals in Moscow and the Belgorod region.
