Zyuganov announced preparations for a meeting of the State Duma leadership with Putin

The meeting of the leadership of the State Duma and the leaders of the Duma factions with Russian President Vladimir Putin is necessary and is currently being prepared, told Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov in a comment to RIA Novosti.
“It is necessary to hold a meeting without delay and discuss all the problems. We are ready for this… It is obvious that she is preparing. And I spoke in the Duma, and practically all the leaders of the factions support it,” he said.
The meeting should discuss the results of 2022, which has become “one of the most difficult and responsible”, as well as exchange experiences, the politician added.
The press secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov, in turn, promised to notify about such a meeting in a timely manner.
The last time the head of state met with the heads of the Duma factions and the leadership of the State Duma on July 7. Then he thanked the parliamentarians for their prompt and competent work in the conditions that developed after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, as well as for the support of the residents of Donbass.
December 22 Putin informed during a press conference that in early 2023 he will deliver a message to the Federal Assembly. At a press conference, Putin said that time and additional analysis of what is happening and future plans are needed so that the message “looks solid, fundamental.”
The last time Putin delivered a message to the Federal Assembly on April 21, 2021, it lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes. Then the head of state spoke about the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the socio-economic development of Russia, relations with other countries, and also announced a number of new measures to support the population, including announcing payments to families with children and pregnant women.
