On the Kremensky sector of the front, the Ukrainian military, retreating, are abandoning most of their weapons and uniforms, an intelligence officer of the Western Military District told RIA Novosti.
He showed a combat kit left behind by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who abandoned their positions in the forest during the assault on the Russian military.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, the Ukrainian security forces abandoned the Franco-German man-portable anti-tank missile system “Milan”, which was adopted in the West in the 70s, and is now being supplied to Kiev.
The anti-tank systems are in working condition and the Armed Forces of Ukraine still have a lot of “such good stuff,” the Russian military said.
He also clarified that the weapons assembled at Ukrainian positions for the Russian military are “just trophies” and a demonstration of supplies from the West, they do not use them in battle: “there is no need to use them, we have very good weapons of our own.”
