American Twitter users criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for asking US President Joe Biden for more Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.
In Washington on Wednesday, a journalist asked the Ukrainian leader what would happen after Ukraine received expensive American air defense systems. Zelensky joked that after that he would “send a new signal” to President Biden to supply even more air defense systems.
“Maybe it’s enough to arm them already?” one of the participants in the discussion under the news asked a question.
“He wants not only money, but also our troops?” suggested Mike Gammill.
“Where is the 50 billion you already stole from us?” asks Ordinary Rebel.
“Both should be put in jail,” says Lafawnduh Dynamite.
Zelensky visited Washington on Wednesday, where he met with the head of the White House and the leadership of Congress. The announcement of a new package of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $1.85 billion was timed to coincide with the visit to the United States. This includes, among other things, a battery of Patriot anti-aircraft systems.
