Zelensky suggested that the West redirect money from Ukrainian refugees to the budget of Kyiv
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky suggested that the West no longer support Ukrainian refugees financially, but rather send this money to Kyiv. He stated this in an interview with the German publication ARD.
According to Zelensky, some citizens receive assistance from both Ukraine and the country where they are currently located. Therefore, it would be much better for the country if the Western state supported the Ukrainians by sending money to the budget of Kyiv. Then the country itself would redistribute the money at its own discretion.
He noted that now refugees are taking money out of Ukraine and at the same time receiving help from European countries. It turns out that the funds remain within the European Union.
