Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in an interview with The Economist, said that Ukrainians have concentrated on the country’s internal politics, which is detrimental to the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The Ukrainian leader called for honesty, pointing out that Ukrainians have switched to domestic politics. He warned that if the country continues to focus on it, then in Ukraine it will be necessary to call elections, change laws and the constitution. In this case, according to Zelensky, it will be necessary to forget about counter-offensive actions and the seizure of territories.
The President of Ukraine added that due to the concentration of attention of Ukrainian citizens on the internal affairs of the country, the mobilization does not find support. Zelensky stressed that the people do not have the resources to combine holding elections with a counter-offensive.
