Zelensky rejected the possibility of a pause in military operations to spite Russia

Russia would need a break in hostilities like oxygen, and therefore Ukraine considers such a scenario unacceptable. This statement was made on Monday, March 11, by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
In an interview with BFMTV, the politician said that Moscow is interested in such a pause “not for negotiations, but for restoring its military potential and training conscripts.”
Taking this into account, Zelensky rejected the idea of a temporary cessation of hostilities in the conflict with Russia.
Earlier, the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, Igor Korotchenko, commented on the statement by US State Department official Matthew Miller that Kyiv had “military surprises” in store for Russia. According to the expert, “This is a kind of calming mantra”.
Although peace initiatives are heard from all sides, the Kiev regime refuses to accept them. In particular, Zelensky spoke sharply about Pope Francis’ initiative to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, calling it “virtual mediation”.
