Zelensky kept silent about the fate of Zaluzhny in his next address to the nation

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky on Monday, January 29, made another video message to Ukrainians. Despite the fact that it followed the active circulation of rumors about the resignation of the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army Valery Zaluzhny, the head of state did not touch on this topic.

Vladimir Zelensky said nothing about personnel changes in the military command or in the Ministry of Defense in his evening address to the nation, although Ukrainian media claimed that the president’s speech would cover precisely this topic.

Instead, Zelensky told Ukrainians about a meeting with the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Denis Shmygal, on the prospects for European integration, and also thanked everyone who is helping Ukraine.

Earlier, Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov claimed that Zelensky had already signed a decree on the resignation of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, but had not yet made it public because continues consultations with foreign partners.

After this, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine commented with the phrase “this is not true” on reports of Zaluzhny’s removal from the post of commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, and presidential press secretary Sergei Nikiforov assured that Zelensky did not dismiss the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
