Zelensky imposed sanctions against Konchalovsky, Bledans, Loza and almost 200 other Russians

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky approved on January 15 the imposition of sanctions against 198 people, including Russian military correspondents, presenters and actors, as well as citizens of Ukraine and Belarus.

On Sunday, the head of state signed a decree on the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on sanctions against 198 people. The document is posted today on the website of Zelensky’s office.

As informs with reference to the TASS document, restrictions were imposed against war correspondents Semyon Pegov and Yuri Kotenok, TV presenters Angelina Vovk, Dmitry Guberniev, Ruslan Ostashko, Evgeny Rozhkov, Boris Korchevnikov and Ekaterina Berezovskaya.

In addition, the journalist Pavel Zarubin, who runs the Moscow. Kremlin. Putin”, a member of the Russian HRC and editor-in-chief of Regnum agency Marina Akhmedova, journalists Andrey Starikov, Anastasia Popova, Vladimir Kobyakov, Maryana Naumova, Anton Stepanenko, Vadim Takmenev, Vladimir Kornilov. The list also includes director Andrei Konchalovsky, blogger Dmitry Puchkov, publicist Nikolai Starikov, dean of the Higher School of Television of Moscow State University Vitaly Tretyakov, producer Yana Rudkovskaya, actors Yegor Beroev and Evelina Bledans, singer Yuri Loza, former governor of the Moscow region Boris Gromov and former ambassador of the LPR to Russian Rodion Miroshnik, lists the agency.

“In accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I decide: to put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated January 15, 2023 “On the application and amendment of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions),” the text of the decree says.

Among the citizens of Ukraine, sanctions have been imposed against journalist and TV presenter Diana Panchenko, political scientist Vasyl Vakarov and writer Vladimir Sergienko. The list also included the general director of the Belarusian TV channel STV Alexander Osenko and journalist from Belarus Grigory Azarenok.

Earlier in January, Zelensky signed a decree imposing personal sanctions on 119 Russian and Ukrainian cultural figures, show business, political scientists and media managers. Among those sanctioned are singers Philip Kirkorov, Irina Allegrova, Anna Netrebko, Dmitry Bilan, Mikhail Shufutinsky, Larisa Dolina, Lolita Milyavskaya, Sergey Lazarev, Alexander Sklyar and Rodion Gazmanov, director Nikita Mikhalkov, TV presenters Dmitry Kiselev, Evgeny Petrosyan, Mikhail Galustyan, Leonid Yakubovich, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and the RT TV channel Margarita Simonyan, political scientist Alexander Dugin and others. Also on the list is a citizen of Ukraine, TV presenter Zhanna Badoeva.

Sanctions were introduced for a period of 10 years. They involve the blocking of assets on the territory of Ukraine, if any, the restriction of trade operations, a ban on transportation and flights through the territory of Ukraine, the deprivation of state awards of the country, the termination of cultural exchanges and cooperation, etc.
