Zelensky found no logic in African leaders’ trip to Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky questioned the justification of the decision of African leaders to visit Russia on June 17. This was stated by the politician on Friday, June 16.
Commenting on the upcoming trip of African politicians, Zelensky said that “this is their decision, and it is not clear how logical it is.” However, the President of Ukraine admitted that “they are the leaders of free states, so this is their choice.”
A previously informed source confirmed that African leaders at a meeting in Kyiv made a proposal to the President of Ukraine for a peaceful settlement of the conflict. The essence of this proposal will not discloseuntil politicians from African countries hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Kremlin emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready for any contacts to resolve the Ukrainian issue, including he welcomes the upcoming meeting with the leaders of South Africa, Zambia, Senegal and Comoros.
It is expected that after negotiations with Zelensky in the Ukrainian capital, the African delegation will leave for St. Petersburg, where on Saturday, June 17, the their meeting with Vladimir Putin.
