President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky named eight main tasks for Ukrainian diplomacy in 2023 at a meeting with ambassadors. According to the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the topic of holding peace talks with Russia was not among the tasks. At the same time, Western media previously reported that the Zelensky administration was preparing to submit a 10-point peace plan in February 2023.
Among the main tasks, Zelensky listed negotiations on the country’s accession to the EU, and ensuring concrete results following the NATO summit.
Zelensky also demanded that the ambassadors work constantly to meet the country’s defense needs, as well as to restore the Ukrainian energy sector.
As for Russia, Zelensky only proposed to intensify work on imposing sanctions against Moscow, blocking the assets of Russian businessmen and organizing a tribunal in connection with special operations.
Zelensky called the eighth point the work to ensure the observance of the rights of Ukrainians in the host countries.
